Mrs Utah America
Mrs Utah Pageant

Denim & Dreams is the signature fundraising event of the Mrs. Utah America Pageant. This event is the opening number to our fabulous Pageant weekend. The 2010 Event will take place June 24, 2010, at Cactus & Tropicals, in Draper, Utah.

Denim & Dreams is the brainchild of Diane Ritter and the Mrs. Utah America Advisory Board. Each of the contestants is given a denim jacket and asked to either design a wearable piece of art themselves or collaborates with a local artist or celebrity to create the design. The jackets are then presented in a signature fashion show and sold through a silent auction benefitting a local charity. Our 2010 benefactor is the Utah Chapter of “Autism Speaks”.

“At Autism speaks, our goal is to change the future for al who struggle with autism spectrum disorders. We are dedicated to funding global biomedical research into the causes, prevention, treatments and cure for autism: to raising public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families, and society ; and to bringing hope to all who deal with the hardships of this disorder. We are committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals. Autism Speaks aims to bring the autism community together as one strong voice to urge the government and private sector to listen to our concerns and take action to address this urgent global health crisis. It is our firm belief that working together, we will find the missing pieces of the puzzle. Autism Speaks. It’s time to listen.”

The Mrs. Utah America Pageant is committed to giving back to the communities that continue to be incredibly generous to our organization. Our titleholders spend countless hours giving of their time and resources at various charitable events throughout the State. In fact this year, alone, we have logged over 5000 hours supporting our community efforts. The time to give back is now!
